We purchased a 2012 Redwood RW36RE12 last year. We are full-timers and we use the shower daily. It has a tankless water heater. The shower would suddenly turn cold and would take 20 or 30 seconds to turn back hot. I looked on the forum about a fix and I see a lot of complaints about tankless water heaters. I came up with a solution that has worked great for us. I installed a 5-gallon water heater in between my tankless water heater and my bathroom. I found a great deal on Wayfair on an Eccotemp 7 Gallon Electric Storage Tank for $145. I have less that $200 in the entire project and now we have instant and consistent hot water in the bathroom. The kitchen is still fed off the tankless water heater. It still turns cold from time to time, but it is not that big of a deal.

Hello, we have a 2015 38RL with a Samsung RF217 domestic refigerator. For the first time I am trying to shut off the fridge and have not been able to. There is not a shut off switch in the fridge and I have not been able to identify the breaker. When I shut off the main disconnect the fridge stays on, likely because of battery power going to the invertor. Short of pulling out the fridge, which is a very big job, and unplugging it I am at a loss.

I would like to be able to leave the trailer plugged in so that my batteries can stay charged but without the fridge running all the time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The question I have is directly related to the InCommand system AND my water heater,,

Since getting our "20" we have always used the water heater on BOTH gas and electric, that is until our last outing. We used only electric, and low and behold, the heater would NOT work on electric..
The Redwood is at the dealer for a small list of warranty items with the water heater being 1 of them.. They reported to me that the heater was partially unplugged from the electric socket causing it to not operate on electric?? I have NOT looked at it yet but all my other water heaters had a hard wire run to the breaker box.. They ALSO told me that I needed to flip the rocker switch to "ON" that on the OUTSIDE of the water heater.??

Even on my "16" Redwood, i never had to touch that switch?

I was always under the assumption that the switch was an alternate switch ONly???

We used ours for the first time the other day and had a heck of a time cooking... The actual oven temp was about 100* off what the LED read out was telling us , and what the knob was reading... AND when it was set to 400* the temp hit 375.. they 370.. then 365.. then 375.. then 370 so on....

the temp settled on 400,,, the manual thermometer we purchased read 325 and the digital thermometer I have was reading 299.... to 310...

I have googled if there was any calibration that can be done with no luck...

NOT looking to drag it all the way to the dealer if it os something I can do myself...

There's two outlets, with dedicated (I assume) outlets, one for the washer and one for the dryer. There's a 15 amp breaker for each in the panel.

I swapped the dryer plug to the washer's outlet and vice versa, and everything works fine. I don't get that at all. The manuals on both spec a dedicated 15-20 amp dedicated line for each.

I'm glad it works, but it bugs me because I can't make sense of it.

I just bought a ‘19 39MB and we want to install a washer and dryer (vented) stackable not combo. Has anyone done this themselves or would it be better for service tech? How long should it take and average $$ to vent for the dryer? I cringe at the idea of having a hole drilled in the closet.

Also, has anyone bought a ‘19 39 MB that came with the Winegard WF2 already installed. We are trying to find the rocker switch and maybe they were put in the same location, or was that a dealer add-on?

I’m sure i’ll Have more questions later as we are newbies in the RV life.

Thanks for any responses

We don't smell any propane. We tried lighting it with a lighter...no success. We understand the procedure of holding down the knob while turning to light. The range burners work fine. After contacting Lippert, they stated we needed a new thermo couple. Doesn't seem that you'd have to replace this part after only 3 uses. Has anyone else had similar problems?
