Hi folks...

My name is Brian Murfin and live in Alpharetta GA, I recently purchased a 2021 4001 LK and will be spending some time on the road to catch up on some sights that I have missed. I retired early from UPS after a 39 year career and four relocations. I have been to several cities but have not had the time to enjoy places like Yellowstone, grand Canyon, Tahoe, Monterrey CA and many others.

Thanks for allowing me to join the nice folks in this group. Looking forward to learning a lot about RVing and the adventures that you have enjoyed.

My name is John Pul. I just recently purchased a 2013RW36FB. The previous owner reccomended this site, so I took his advice. Today is the first day navigating the site and I found this forum so I thought I should introduce myself.

We live in Southwestern Ontario about 50 miles east of Detroit. We spend a fair bit of the summer in a campground on the St.Clair River across and just north of Marine City.

We have been retired for quite a while, me for 12 years and my wife for 15. We're just getting the RV ready for some camping this season and I will likely be asking some questions on some of the forums.

Hi! I'm a new owner of a 388es that is doing the full time thing in Phoenix AZ. I've been living aboard for about four weeks now, and I have a few things I've had to fix, a few more things I need to fix, and some things I'd like to upgrade, but overall this has been a great rig, but I wonder what the FREAK some of the designers are thinking about how they lay things out. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

We just bought a used 2012 Redwood 36RLfor full-time living. It was delivered to our lot last Saturday and we spent our first night in it last night. Pretty nice considering we slept through a nor'easter! The only problem was the slide toppers popping. No damage. I'm gonna have to get out the ratchet straps before the next storm. We're not new to rv's, we have had two travel trailers and still own a class C.

Being new to RVing and recently retired, I an in search of a quality fifth wheel RV that can be used for full time. Not familiar with the Redwood line of products, I am searching for something for just my wife and I. We travel between Ohio and Washington by way of Idaho twice a year so not only quality of RV but dealership/service is just as important. I am in need of suggestions/recommendations as to the model that would best suit our needs. Two must haves would be to have the unit liveable in below 10 degree weather, which would include but not limited to, double pane windows, heated underbelly, heated dock, heated waste valves, high R value in slides, etc. The second must have would be construction quality. Hello All. Nancy and I got our first RV last spring, a 2012 Blackwood 36RV. After a bit of travelling and some "hard knock" type lessons, we are thinking of trading up, possibly to a RW 3401. Any comments or suggestions would be welcomed. In the meantime, we'll be reading the forum posts to try to pick up some wisdom--we have learned a lot but there are still lots of gaps!

Hello all , We are new to the redwood family, we just purchased a 2018 3901wb. We sold our grand design reflection 303 that we loved but ran out of room. We plan on selling our home and living full time for 3-4 years and then build a barn at the lake to house fifth wheel and work on a new small stick house. But may love the fifth wheel and never build another stick house. I have read for hours upon hours on this site before making the purchase. I know all the manufactures will have defects but how they are handled is what mattered to me , we are all human and make mistakes. I have so many questions about this new fifth wheel. The dealer doesn't know all about these things , just general idea. Here is a few questions to start with maybe yall can help. 1. We have three a/c units so comes with a power management board on inside of trailer , does that protect from surge & over/ under power ? If not what is best option ? Mine has power reel on driver rear corner , I think maybe a hard wire if I need to , What brand ? 2. We live in the Texas panhandle were we get lots of wind , and more wind , so full timing need to address this as far as heating and cooling. I'm thinking of a skirt to help keep wind off under belly. This unit did not have tank pads ( dealer said didn't need ) so a concern for me. What to help efficiency of unit ? 3. Water filtration , any concerns or what is everyone else doing ? I've seen some two and three filters ,but what about after full timing and use as vacation fifth wheel. Change filters each time you use or empty filters and just let dry until next use ? We do have a portable water softener we use , which I will plumb in. 4. Winter time , what does everyone do about water , do you just fill tank and run off pump ? Do you build a box around faucet and insulate good ? and leave water on all the time ? What about sewer ? Are you installing a 4in pvc pipe to drain or running the rhino hoses ? Do you leave the valves open on grey tanks ? I would think only open when full but don't know on grey. I will leave black tank valves closed until full so can wash everything out of tank and not dry on tank. I know there is many more questions that will arise over the next few weeks, if anyone has any ideas or what I should check or upgrades , do please let me know , thanks in advance and look forward to meeting some fellow redwood owners in the future .
