TOPIC: Portable Generators

Portable Generators 1 month 4 days ago #26

I'm still researching options. I carry our Champion 4450/3550 non invertor on our RV's Reese hitch in a carrier with a cover and have a 7ft quick connect cord to hook it up to the RV. It actually works pretty well with the remote start it's just a little noisy. The good thing about being there is it is a ways from the bedroom and with a lot of back in space away from the other campers. Have you had any issues with the Westinghouse?

So far our Westinghouse iGen 4500 has worked great, no issues at all

I have run both A/C units off it but have to make sure Hot Water is on Gas and no other high power demands
I also have hard start capacitors on both A/C units to help with starting current when using the generator.
