Any information on US 1 south from Calais Maine to I-95. How is this road as far as pulling my 38 foot RW?
Also any sites that I would stop and see along the way?

Dave, saw your question on FB and didn’t respond as I have no experience north of Bangor/Bar Harbor, but everything south of Bar Harbor is great and I95 is really one of the better interstates up there. Avoid like the plague US 201 from the Canadian border south into Maine. It’s fine past Jackman, but from the border to Jackman is probably the worst US highway we’ve traveled. Speed limit is 55 and 35 was the fastest I could take it. Spent the whole time apologizing to the Redwood.

Still waiting for word on US 1 from I-95/Maine/Canada border south along the coast to Bangor. Any thoughts?

We did it 3 years ago and no problem. It is a federal highway. If you like wild blueberry bushes there are lots to look at. BTW, there is a True Value Hardware store in Calais that checks firearms for a reasonable fee (before venturing into Canada).
