We have noticed that the seal across the bottom of our windows has 2 gaps. They are approximately 3/4 of an inch long each. One on the left and the other on the right. When the windows are closed & locked we can see daylight through these gaps. We are wondering if anyone else has these gaps, and if anyone knows what their purpose is? We are considering filling them in with an appropriately sized piece of weather strip.

I believe those gaps are deliberate, perhaps to have water (condensation) to exit.

We have them as well. Concur with Al, I believe they are for condensation.

Thank you for your feedback. They just seem so big. We asked the tech at the rally and he didn't know what they were there for. Beings the redwoods have dual pane windows we have never had any condensation so far.

I don’t know about being normal, but I had one in my bedroom that they replaced under warranty

If you have the right combination of conditions, you will get some condensation on the inside of the windows. We are on our way south and it's been rainy. We got some water inside the RW when pulling in the slides, it is cool, just above freezing and when the RW cools off during the drive to the next campsite and then is heated again, the water vapour in the air condenses on the inside of the cold window. Not much, but it happens
