We are Winter snow birds in the Hill Country of Texas. Our 2015 36RL is a great rig for 50% fulltime. We are Not fans of the slide toppers. They blow in the wind and keep you awake with the flapping sound. I have tried the flapper clamps ( don't work) I have used a beach ball to help tighten and it works OK. (still a pain) This also helps with drainage of rain water pooling.--- CLEANING IS A PAIN
Over all---- several of us would NOT purchase the covers on our next rigs.
Today both covers on the drivers side slides were removed for us in a wind and rain storm. One was rolled up and placed on the roof. The other was ripped off and sent airborne toward Mexico. Not a good day. Now waiting in a park for insurance adjuster and mobile service to arrive. Unable to travel with this mess... Lucky that no further damage was done. Decide for yourself. Good luck.

I've seen those that have them...I have/had my reservations for a long time about those.

Aesthetically, they look wonderful. Practically, I don't see the real benefit. It looks like there is a lot of maintenance. It sounded like they would make a lot of noise (no pun intended).

I guess that would just be an item that some will want and some will not...Each will have their reasons...

Sorry to hear about your troubles...

Instead of an "adjustment", you might just want to take the claim money and leave them off?

I have them and like them. If Redwood had put the screws that keep them centered behind the topper instead of through the topper as they did on mine, they would last a lot longer. Awning repair tape is great.
