I have a 2012 36RL. Has anyone replaced the Aqua Magic toilet with a Dometic 320? Ours has a leaky ball valve seal, and all the usual fixes doesn't stop the leak. My concern is the actual fitment. Is there enough room on the front for shower door opening clearance, and enough room on the back to not hit the wall?

WE did that on our 2013 36RL after the pedal fell off the aqua magic. The Dometic is a little bigger so it is closer to the wall at the back but it fit, and the water connection is "plug and play" (same fittings).
Just to be sure, I recommend that you measure the distance from the center line of the toilet flange to the wall and compare it to the Dometic specs, just in case Redwood moved the pipe back closer to the wall on your unit compared to ours.

Thanks! I measured and have 11" from mounting bolts to the wall behind it. Looks like it will fit. Getting rid of that Thetford and gaining an elongated bowl will really be nice

On my '13 FB it was not plug/play, had to have a 12" hose & a close 1/2" nipple, the pex connection was on the opposite side of the toilet & no slack to move over without kinking. So you may want to pick up the hose & nipple, it's easier to return it than to stop in the middle of the job to go get it.

Not stop in the middle of a plumbing job to go get more supplies? That's just not natural! Haha! Seriously though, I'll do that. I'm going to add a quarter turn shut off valve too.

I guess it depended on what tech worked on the line. Lots of slack on that water line for me. I've taken out 6 or 7 feet of excess 1/2 inch hose when I cleaned up the mess behind the convenience center.

Installed the dometic 320 3 years ago. No issues. Great toilet.

I replaced the factory Thetford in my 2018GK with the Dometic 320 . I hated the plastic seat on the Thetford which was a PITA to clean. The 320 has a wood seat. I'm a bit disappointed in the flush of the 320 though. Perhaps I don't have quite enough water pressure but the front of the bowl doesn't get completely rinsed during a flush. Water comes from the entire perimeter of the rim but often it runs down in streams not rinsing the entire surface. The Thetford with the single nozzle in the rear seemed to rinse the bowl a bit better. The addition of the hand sprayer option might help.

I did have to install a 90 degree ell on the fresh water feed line when I installed the 320 as the water connection is further forward on the 320 and there was not enough flexibility in the PEX to reach without kinking the factory PEX line and fitting. That was ok as I added a separate shut off valve to the toilet at the same time.
