Danny and Linda wrote: We workamped as housekeepers at a very nice coop park in Arizona & keeping the washing machines & dryers cleaned was part of our duties, my point is what in the hell were some of those folks washing/drying, some days they were horrible. From my DWs perspective, she said she was VERY glad she had her own machines after taking care of public ones.

Yes that's a good reason to have your own W/D units. The laundromat in our village has signs posted "do not wash horse blankets", I wonder what other stuff gets washed?

We have the Splendide combo unit, vented. For the most part, I set it wash and dry, towels, linens etc. For clothes, I usually set the dryer to 20 minutes, then hang dry from there. I cut some PVC the width of the shower, put rubber end caps on the pipe and hang the laundry using the pipe and plastic hangers. Solves the wrinkle problem.

We didn't want to give up the extra shelves with a stack-able unit. Combo has worked really well for us.
