A comment and a question about our powered vent in the kitchen area of our 2013 36 RL.
We have had a problem with the vent lid opening after we push the button on the wired remote keyboard that sits close to the thermostat.

The fan starts but the lid doesn't open, other then a brief movement. If I open it manually after pushing the button, I can close it automatically and it closes automatically if it rains.

Our RV tech (who is excellent!) ran down the problem and it turned out to be the remote panel. He looked at the gears and the main motor (and replaced it) before narrowing down the problem.

Turns out that the wired remote is now discontinued according to MaxxAir. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the problem or has found an aftermarket substitute.

We've had the MaxxAir vents in both our '12 RL and this '16 MB and have never had anything to control them other than the wall mounted panel. The only issues we've had is the Operating Mech self exploding.
