TOPIC: NBC tv antenna reception

NBC tv antenna reception 4 weeks 3 hours ago #1

We're full-timers. We have noticed as we travel, that after scanning the channels on our tvs, we almost never get a good reception for NBC. Any explanations?

Its got more to do with the location of the transmitter and the focal point of the tower. Its not your TV or roof antenna. Unless your camp sites are between a city and the transmitter location its hard to get a good picture in rural areas. The FCC has local networks programed plus or minus a few decimal on the stations that are near each other , basicly so they signal doesn't walk on each other. For example I live right between Boston and Providence RI , they are only about 35 - 40 miles apart . The channels almost never walk on each others signals because they are on the far end of each number.
Hope this make sence , its been a lot of years since installing TV transmiters for on Air HD TV

Thank you! We're in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and are getting great NBC reception, so your explanation makes sense.

Download the Winegard app, it shows the signal translators nearest your location.
