TOPIC: Overnight Dry Camping - Assault

Overnight Dry Camping - Assault 11 months 4 weeks ago #1

05/21/18 - Arlington, Texas

Reported overnight...

50 yr old male assaulted/robbed by 3.

800 Block of SW Green Oaks Blvd. in Arlington, Texas.(2.8 miles Southeast of the Parks Mall. 10.8 miles due South of Globe Life Park/Arlington Rangers Baseball. An area I personally would not want to be in late at night).

2 entered thru side door. Man remains unconscious at hospital.

Cameras show 9:35 pm on 05/20/18. Parking lot looks empty.

Safety tip....Always look out the window before opening the door. The story doesn't say what happened but a guess would be that the man probably thought it was the store security. Upon opening the door, he probably found out different. Robbery seems to be the motive. A firearm may appear to be missing.

I hate to say it, but stories like this are the reason we stay in campgrounds 95% of the time while traveling..

The other reason is to support the community, and local campground owners... The few times we are unable to get a campground, we will use a truck stop with RV pumps..
