In case you missed this one this morning on RVTravel.com...

Here is a website where you can see the wait times at each crossing and alternate locations to cross:

Towed across at Sault St Marie a couple times with no delay, no inspections, just a couple quick questions, a look at passports & on our way. It appears that's the norm at all crossings from your listing, unless your coming/going at rush hour.
Just curious about this posting! Have you had lengthy delays? Heard stories of long delays? Someone worried about crossing?

We cross into the US and back each winter and have rarely had delays (except once when the "flavour of the month" resulted in our dog food being taken and other dog stuff examined).

We try to cross during the week not during rush hour. The ambassador Bridge crossing from Windsor to Detroit has an RV exclusive gate, we seem to get through quicker after a quick look into the RV.

Had a laugh one year, when we told the officer that we were going to Borrego Springs California he kept talking and asking us questions, turns out he lived in Borrego Springs a few years ago!

I've never crossed the Canadian Border by vehicle before (much less by RV). A number of times flying in, over and around Canada. But not by auto. Been thru Mexico and the wait times are brutal. Thought it might be the same. If I were planning a trip and could go thru another check point that was less crowded, it would have been nice to know about it.

We only live 20 miles from the border and store the coach in the US, so we cross the border at least once per month. If you pick a long weekend expect delays up to 3 hrs in BC.

With the state of the dollar, cross border travel is significantly down, so wait times are minimal. Rarely have more than 5 to 10 min delays.

Over the past 25 years, I have crossed about 10 times both ways at Sault St Marie when going on fishing trips to upper Ontario. I have only been stopped once for an inspection passing into Ontario. That time, going north, took about 45 minutes while they inspected everything in the truck including opening the water bottles to check for alcohol and checking our passports for bad history. In all of our trips returning to the U.S., the border crossing guard looked at our passports and asked "Have you been fishing boys?". We said yes and the guard said, "Welcome home boys".
