Another year has passed and here I am saying again how disappointed I am in not seeing everyone in person. But I firmly believe that we are out in front of this pandemic and when we get to meet again next year, it WILL be in person.
It has been another busy year for your ROG board. Initiating the monthly roundtables and of course planning for the National Rally. As you may or perhaps haven’t checked the ROG website, there are several very important suggested changes to our By-laws. Obviously one of the biggest is the “virtual Rally” provision for the Annual General Meeting and of course some updating in language and ambiguity that existed in other articles. As the committee worked through the articles that posed the board the most trouble, it became apparent that our by-laws needed more updating than the committee was able to handle over a short course of time. Other than the suggested changes of the articles placed forth to the members of the ROG which you will be voting on for the upcoming AGM, the committee has also recommended to the President and the other fellow members of the board, that we need to go back to the drawing board and simplify, clarify and reduce the redundancies within our current by-laws. I am hoping that someone within our group has more expertise with these matters and would be willing to work with the committee on revamping the by-laws to something more in keeping with our small group. While the current by-laws are great, I believe the vision of where the ROG would be now in size (more like Forest River/Montana groups) is not where we are now (but hopefully someday we will be), requires a more simplified edition. Anyone that believes that they can assist the committee in this manner would be tremendously appreciated.
The board continues to work very hard to bring the best content, assistance and friendship to all our members and that will continue into the next year. Thank you to all that have supported the ROG and we look forward to the upcoming Virtual Rally and of course to when we can all be together again.
