Cable tv reception problem | 6 Relevance | 6 years ago | Jim | Communications, Entertainment and Technology
... the answer is the fault is in the cable running to the living room/basement TV from the booster. What seems strange is if that cable is bad, you would have had bad antenna picture as well not just cable. In my trailer that cable is split in the ceiling sending one to living room and one to the Basement. just to be clear if you take the line you ran direct to any tv the picture is clear?

... in A/C mode. 1 will usually be in fan mode. You might be able to run 3 A/C units but everything else would have to be close to off. 3 Units would pull 45 Amps at 1800 W each (Watts divided by Voltage = Amperage). There is a + or - factor due to power plant output, the lines to the park and the park setup. You would need to invest in a Power/Surge Protector. There are basically 2 brands. Based on research, IMHO, Progressive is the better of the 2. You can verify that for yourself by reading the "specs" on each website. They come hardwired or portable. Both p ...
WATER PUMP | 6 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
Couple of things to check. There is a small filter inline just before the water pump. This could be clogged. You'll have to pull the Basement wall on the Service Cabinet side to get to the pump and plumbing. But before you do this, most likely the unit has a whole house filter from the factory. It was an option but I've never seen one without it. If this filter is restricted, your water flow throughout the coach will suffer. Very easy to replace or check, open the access door in the Basement panel behind the Service Cabinet and unscrew the filter hou ...

GiPCTravler - after 36 years in the fire service and fire engineering I guess I'm just inherently reckless with my family. 🙂 PS, I find very little risk of fire in popping a flexible duct, especially when the Redwood factory left most of them disconnected, torn, or smashed. ... we do use the furnace because the downstairs is cooler. Does anyone else have this problem and what is the solution for the bedroom? Thanks in advance. Oh I definately throttled the bedroom down on our Redwood 36RL, or it got unbearably hot up there when it was bedtime. I just replaced most of the furnace vents with adjustable ones from Home Depot. I would disagree that there are any issues adjusting airflow. These RV furnaces are direct vent, so no worries about combustion air or exhaust, and the return air is the huge space behind the Basement wall fe ...

Only thing I would add to above is that you do t want to drop the belly pan to get to the ductwork. Need to pull the street side Basement wall to get to it. I would agree that something's probably wrong with ductwork. We're currently in upstate New York (only for two more days, but of course it's snowing now ......) and right now it's 22 degrees outside and inside we have 71 and comfortable. As said above, when the furnace has been on a while, don't step on the vent plates as they get pretty hot. One thing to look for on the furnace is if one or more ...
MORRyde sliding cargo tray mounting | 6 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Owner Modifications
I've had ours apart and it is 5/8" + exactly what Danny said. If any concern you have aluminum square tube on both sides at the bottom and you could anchor a 2x stock to them and mount to those. This is on my list for this year at some point. If you get it done soon please post a picture. As all of us that own the FL's we are so limited on Basement storage I always re think my purchase but we love it except the Basement storage. Steve

... 2 Units - They call this full time living but don't plan to live in the south during the summer unless you like 85 degree temperatures indoors. We are dreading this summer as we are living in the south until retirement. Guess we'll get window units to put in. They will look pretty on a $100,000 rig. Make sure that if you plan to spend time in the south during the summer that you get the 3 A/C units. A/C Ducting - Incorrect design on this particular 38GK to properly distribute air flow. ... tanks. Still haven't got that figured out but I know it has something to do with being "double-regulated". Weird thing is it worked three times hooked up to the RW then couldn't get gas to flow, so I use the small propane canisters. Storage is not a big problem but is very awkward in the Basement as it uses a lot of room no matter which way I try to store it, so we put it inside to the rear of the island and it fits well between the two slides, but I would rather have it in the Basement. Probably would go with a Weber when we do it again.
Need Water Filter suggestions | 6 Relevance | 8 years ago | Anonymous | The RV Lifestyle
I took out the internal filter behind the Basement wall as I always flooded the area when replacing filters (and the whole unit turned when I put the filter wrench on it, only one screw held the assembly to the roof of the Basement). I posted my modification, an external whole house filter with a carbon filter that catches debris and rust from the campground systems. I also connect up a water softener after the filter as where we are in the south west the mineral content is very heavy, enough that the sacrificial anode on the water heater disappears in one ...

I haven't looked at the new design, but I would go with the larger one, it's a good size if you have friends over. We have the cart with our older model, when broken down the grill sits on the cart in the Basement and fits well. I used a 2 sided velcro strip anchored to the Basement wall to keep the cart from moving around in transit.
Holding Inside Temps | 6 Relevance | 8 years ago | Anonymous | Utilities: Heating and Ventilation
Not exactly sure about your layout but if you came from a front living room to a rear one that's probably the difference. I find the rear living room is cooler than our bedroom and bathroom because the furnace is closer and it heats the Basement underneath. That, in combination with the two slides in the lower area and the tile floor in the kitchen area makes that area seem a bit colder. Having said that, using the fireplace and adjusting the thermostat helps, we are still comfortable. I don't solely rely on electric heat,I want to run the furnace in belo ... |
