Had both on/in that drawer for 3+ years of fulltiming & moisture has not been an issue. DW cut a piece of shelve liner to cover bottom of drawer to prevent damage from spillage when filling the Kuerig, but so far I've only spilled a few drops (she doesn't drink much coffee).

We also have a Keurig in that location and haven't had any problems. It's important to shut the coffee maker down after each use, we find that there is a bit of heat but not moisture transferred to the shelves above if you don't, I suspect that if you store bread above you could create premature moulding, we've had that happen.

I also take advantage of the top shelf as the location for our HP all-in-one wireless printer and use the plug below to power it.

We keep our drip coffee maker in there and use the rubberized shelf material on the bottom. I freaked out the first couple of times the DW shoved the shelf in and closed the door with coffee brewing. The air must circulate well enough as we have had no moisture build up on the upper shelves

I, too, really enjoyed this feature and experienced no moisture build up in the pantry. However, I didn't push the shelf closed until we were completely finished with using it.

Hey there is no right or wrong here, just preference. If my wife would want to have that done, no big deal as our agreement is she owns the inside of our coach and the outside as well (except when washing, waxing or maintenance is due then I own it). It is a nice idea. Since we have a 36FL we do not have that type hook up available. I had an under cabinet black and decker coffee maker installed when we first purchased the Redwood (2012) but that coffee maker lasted a year and we then went to a Kurig.

We have our drip coffee maker on the pantry shelf and the K-cup brewer on the counter adjacent to the range. No issues after three plus years with the pantry. We also have our toaster on the pantry shelf next to the coffee maker. This pantry is a great Redwood feature.
