This is a Thousand Trails campground, so it's first-come, first-served on site selection. There are many narrow roads in the campground, and worse, they start wide and then narrow down with tall, overgrown trees and no warning. Once you find your way down one of these lanes, there is no getting out except to go forward and accept the consequences of the scratches down the side.

It's a beautiful setting, and if you are careful and any of their big-rig sites are open, it is a nice stay. But we won't be going back there.

**Note: Almost all Thousand Trails campgrounds operate on first-come, first-served basis, so depending on the holiday and weekend schedules, finding a suitable site can get very tricky even though you have "reservations."
