Recently, we pulled into a campground and set up for tbe evening. The next morning, coming down off of level, one of my wheels popped and canted over to about 30 degrees.
Found the axel badly scored and the wheel bearings and hub destroyed.
Ordered new axel and hubs from Lippert which we'll get after about 4 weeks of wait (inventory and plant shutdown). I've always had great timing.
My question is: since the suspension shares the spring tension while the trailer sits on it, will I have a problem when tbe trailer gets raised to remove the axel? Is it possible for the center shakle to travel too far? If so, what should be done to prevent that?
I personally will not be doing the work, but want to make sure we don't have any longer delay.
Thanks

Won't hurt the center EquaFlex, it may invert the shackles, the shackles will be pointing down from the springs instead of up, but that is not an issue they will go back with a loud bang if not put back in place.
I would highly recommend installing the MorRyde heavy shackles & wetbolts while its apart if you haven't done so yet. These shackles are 1/2" thick & replaces the plastic bushings in the springs with bronze bushings.
