Ok after finding an alignment shop that would check my 38GK RW. I was informed that both axels are bent. They also did not recommend trying to straighten them due to it being so far to the street side of the axels. In other words had they have bent in the middle of the axels they said no problem. The street side is out of camber 1.4%. You can literally stand behind the RV and see it clearly. the Right side camber is out as well. I talked with Performance brake to see about swapping the 7 K axels for 8K axels. According to their conversation with Lippert supposedly you cannot swap to the 8K Axels. I thought I had read of several guys on here doing exactly that. Can anyone help me with this? I am now looking at just going ahead and installing the IS Moyryde suspension. It appears that the cost is actually cheaper than changing the axels. Any thoughts from you wise ones?? Thanks Mark
I cannot comment on the cost of changing 7k axles to 8k, but by the time you do that, you still have those buggy springs ( weak link ) under you, along with the shackles (possible weak link depending)....
IF it were me, I would weight out the cost of each option side by side along with the pro' and con's of each.. I am almost sure that the pro's will out weigh the cost difference for the IS..
I changed out my 7k Lippert factory axles and springs for the MorRyde 8k IS system and have been very pleased. Not sure what the cost different would be for you but for me it was all about safety and comfort.
They've been with me from Key West (Mile 0) to the Arctic Circle. No regrets at all!

after a bit of minor homework I found the fololwing:
8k axles - $1400.00
MORryde sre $350.00
Wetbolt kit $130.00
Total - $1800.00
ADD Labor - $500.00 - $750.00 ?? maybe more?
New total - $2300.00 - $2550.00
MORryde 7k IS Installed - $3250.00
MORryde 8k IS Installed - $3750.00
You need to weigh the pros and cons of each system... I know when asked, anyone I have ever spoken to about the IS says they will never own another RV without it, including me...
I leave the glass salt and pepper shakers on the counter, they are still there when I arrive.. The RV in general pulls a ton smoother behind me especially at entrances and exits to bridges!!! IT GLIDES behind you
Without having to change axles, I upgraded to the Centrepoint system, which was substantially cheaper than the IS.
However, if I had to change out the axles, I would have gone with the IS system.
I'll add to what Joe said above. We did the IS and disc brakes 5 months after we bought the coach in March of 2013. We have since towed it, as of yesterday when I went into the truck apps and looked, 41,567 very troublefree and safe miles. As Joe said, we don't bother putting the coffeemaker away or the toaster oven and all the stuff that is in the medicine cabinet barely moves, if at all. The difference in the way the whole rig handles and feels will amaze you. If the IS has a drawback it is the fact that with a good, high powered truck that doesn't really mind the tow it's very easy to forget it's back there.
Just had it checked and gone over at MorRyde on our way west. No issues, nothing wearing and Sergio pronounced her "ready to travel ! You go-a see the country". Any of you who have had the IS done will appreciate that.. I asked him when he's going to retire and he said they won't let him until he trains at least three replacements !! Lol
Bottom line, as Joe said, any of us who have the IS will never pull a fifth wheel again without it. If it works into your time and budget - do it, no question. Your suspension concerns go away and your total maintenance on the suspension is to crawl under once a year, take a good look at everything, and put grease in 1 fitting in each wheel assembly.

Another problem with going to the IS system. I am told that there is only 3 approved locations for entire USA. So on top of the cost of installation is the travel time and expense. WOW hard to believe there is no approved site in Houston or Dallas.
I also am having a hard time believing I cannot replace with 8k axels. But I am told by LCI that the 8k springs are different. So I am exploring what Ron from performance braking did. Heavy 7k dexter axels with the sre 4000 and heavy shackles and wet bolts. I have already upgraded to the disc brakes and upgraded wheel bearings.
Is that 3750 a recent price quote ? If so where is that ?

Mark - I'm sure the reason MorRyde only authorized two other installers besides the factory is because of the extent of the job and if it isn't done correctly it would be a true disaster. Joe has some good in-process photos but in essence, everything under the frame gets cut off and replaced. There are many measurements that must be done and also accurate weights taken.
You really need to base your decision on realistically how much you're going to tow. We knew from the time we bought the coach that we would be all over the country. So far, more than 42,000 miles on her.
Even with being fulltime, we've done almost 4500 since January and still gave about another 8-900 to our summer spot.
Mark,
Drop me an email at - joeyd208@gmail.com ... i will send you my pics from Morryde...it’s easier that way....

Rally prices for IS are posted in the Information on 2018 Rally in the left sidebar. Select the MOR/Ryde article.
Mark, another suggestion for you based on my experiences with another RV. I had an alignment problem, so bad that the almost new trailer was wearing out a tire because of scrubbing. The truck alignment shop bent the axle back into proper alignment and I had no further problems. The work was done under the RV warranty under the supervision of my dealer.
I would get a second opinion from another shop to confirm the initial diagnosis before spending $$ on a replacement.
The RW service center recommended an alignment shop in Elkhart that bent mine both castor/camber for $125 per axle, after wearing out 1 tire in about 6k miles, for which RW reimbursed me. Tires have worn true/even since then.
I've got 60k+/ on my 7k axles with the only upgrade to the suspension is the MorRyde heavy duty shackle kit, I did upgrade to disc brakes a year ago. I've had no spring or any suspension issues & we've been loaded for fulltime at scaled weight of just over 16.5k.
