I am grateful for the ROG and all the discussions, but particularly those discussions related to towing safety. The discussions of all issues are valuable, but few rise to the level of how safe are you traveling down the highway. Suspension, brakes, pinbox, tires, tow vehicle, etc., really get my attention. After reading numerous discussions regarding the inadequacy of the factory drum brakes, I engaged Titan Guy (Ron) and his team of John and John (senior and junior) to install disk brakes this week on my 2015 36RL with less than 12K miles. When the drums were removed both passenger side drums had substantial seal leaks and grease was everywhere (totally unacceptable). Titan Guy's crew did an outstanding job and in the test drive after installation my gain setting went from 10 to 6.5. The difference in braking is exactly as discussed by many who have changed from drums to discs - phenomenal. I feel much safer towing my Redwood and thank you all for this website, your experiences, and recommendations. A Redwood owner won't find a better return on investment than the membership dues of the ROG. Next will be the pinbox. I don't think I will even wait until my Triglide begins to exhibit problems. Based on what I have read, I don't want to even take a chance on it failing as it is not worth the risk, in spite of the fact that I have not experienced problems with it. There certainly appears to be a problem with the design of the Triglide and In my opinion, Lippert would be wise to issue a recall before someone experiences a catastrophic failure. Price point of a Redwood or any RV is a very real issue for a manufacturer, but never at the expense of a high level of safety.
