Yesterday 2,000 miles from home I noticed a strange noise coming from my jacks as I was lowering my front jacks to get the weight off my front hitch. I pulled out and pushed auto level and all seemed good. As I was walking around I noticed a small bit of hydraulic fluid on the passenger side jack pad. I looked at my reservoir
and it looked low, however to be honest I do not know what is low. This morning in the rain I hooked up and pushed auto retract all was well and no noise. When I went to put my front jacks partially down to do my pullout safety check my passenger jack only came 1/2 way down and would not move up or down. I turned off the system and was able to raise them both. I am now staying on a Saturday night hooked up to my truck and no jacks down because of fear. I was able to extend my slides however my hydraulic kitchen slide seemed slow. I hope I can close them tomorrow on my way to Fargo, ND. I am staying there for 3 days so hope to get it fixed. One problem I have is I can't open my generator door where the reservoir is because my truck bumper blocks the door from opening all the way. Any ideas?????
If you saw hydraulic fluid on the leg and the slides are slow you need to check the fluid level in the tank as you are probably low. 1/4" from the top with all Jack's up and slides in. You will need to get a couple of bottle Jack's or blocking under the frame in front of yo can't open the door while hooked up. I would also check the fittings on the hoses to see if they are tight going into to the leg that's leaking
Thanks, I just hope I can get my slides in tomorrow as I head to Fargo. When I get there I'll look for some bottle Jacks or something to keep my RW up. I just need one more day of it working to get the fluid in and move to Fargo. Good idea on tightening the fittings. Ill check now and get back with you
Sounds good
Normally with a hydraulic leak there are 3 things. Loose fittings, hole in the hose or a blown seal on the ram
fittings are tight and my fluid with slides out is about 1 1/2 inch from the top so that is not it. Could be the blown seal thing. Who fixes that?

Ill try that tomorrow. I hope that will fix the problem. If it is an o-ring, how hard is it to get that fixed? Who does that kind of work?
Most heavy machinery places, hydraulic shops ccan put new orings in the cylinder. It would need to be taken off and then to the shop
More than likely it is as Gypsy said clean the cylinder with green CRC and cycle them a few times

Can I undo the fittings and hoses to get it out or will I lose hydraulic pressure? How hard is it to take out?
I had the same thing happened last year, what I did was hook up to my truck spray the Rams with WD-40 and move them up and down five or six times... the leak was gone, as gip said you coild have gotten some particles (trash) on the pistons..

Should it be a hose O'Riley parts here in Alabama will make you a replacement, just FYI. $ hoses for my 14 G38 cost $300.00 (appox) verse the 150 each most hose company wanted to charge.
Just check at the automotive stores as they may be less expensive, and carry the same 1 year warranty.
