I came out today to a jack pad with oil on it.. It is almost covered.. I checked all connections and they seam tight.. I will raise the jacks after work and try to twist the ram to see if that helps...

Next step?? Rebuildable?? Or replaceable ?? Which is easiest and fastest while on the road?

Can I top off the fluid with any type of ATF >??

Joe, I find if we're parked long term I have one that will leak, if I wipe off, spray it with silicone spray & run it in & out it will stop. I found that when it won't stop leaking that it's MUCH cheaper to have it rebuilt ($100-150) than replaced ($500-600). I top off my reservoir with 15w motorcycle fork oil. That's what I do, see what others recommend.

Well,

I completely cleaned the pad and checked it after an hour and half, nothing... still clean.. I do have the spray they recommend for the rams, when I get back there after work I will check it again...

I am leaving tomorrow, I will spray the ram a few times and run it up and down tomorrow as I am hooked up to the truck.. ALL the fittings are dry, so I am thinking it is coming from the ram cylinder o-ring

Gip, the silicone spray was recommended by the factory service center techs for the jacks, slides, door latches, anything needing lubed, so I've been using regularly (every time we move on the jacks) for almost 5 years with no ill effects. Dirt will stick to the hydraulic or fork oil not the silicone spray, which is why you wipe & spray them to begin with, to remove dirt/dust. I guess I should tell also, I don't buy the expensive CRC brand either, but the slide spray at Wal-Mart, it has the same Teflon as the CRC for a third of the price.
Last winter season when it started leaking I called a hydraulic repair facility that stated he could totally rebuild it for $100-150 & didn't need parts or any info from Lippert. Once I sprayed it & removed the 3 bolts on the bottom & rotated that piece 1 hole it has leaked slightly once & running up/down stopped it.

I use crc on every moving part on mine. From the toilet peddle to slides, jacks hinges, evertything Works great and no residue left to collect dirt and grime
Also have had the issue of them settling down when parked for extended periods as well as small seepage that go away by operating them. I would also take it to a cylinder shop and have it rebuilt with new seals if they ever go

All I have is word of mouth from the factory techs, which I would take their word long before anyone at Lippert, they're the guys repairing Lipperts & RWs screw ups.
They also recommend Pledge furniture polish (I use the dollar store imitation) to treat all of the slide seals & I suspect you won't find that on Lipperts website either, but been using it for as long as I've had the RW & seals look good as new.

OK while we're talking Hydraulic issues and Service Techs. Yesterday after they repaired their Boo Boo by replaceing my front jacks, I checked the fluid level (yes with everything retracted) and the level was at the first detent of the tank, approx 2" down from the filler. I requested it be filled and they said that was the proper level, but they finally agreed to add more, I think partly to get rid of us. Took a full quart to bring it up to approx 1/2 to 1" below the filler. So who do you believe?

I too carry a can of he CRC,,i came home at lunch today and sprayed and wiped the ram a few times while I was raising and lowering them... It has been 7 hours and still dry ! I am hoping that it was just a small piece of debris lodged in the seal that was moved out from the movement . .

I will see tomorrow morning if it really worked or not.

Hopefully that solved it
