I was wondering if anyone has applied locking lug nuts on their Redwood and if so what was the thread?

They are 9/16" studs. I don't really think theft is a problem but, I am in mine all the time.

Not sure about the locking lug nuts but we had our pressure sensors stolen off of our RV in Mexico by some unsavory Americans who stayed at the RV park there overnight. The Mexicans wouldn't know what to do with the sensors.

Our newest sensors need a special wrench to undo them.

You might consider Internal TPM Sensors such as this:

I wonder how widespread tire theft is? There are probably no statistics to back it up.

Locking lug nuts might be a possible solution. Make sure you have a spare key...That would be another issue if you ever lost the first one!

Been fulltime for 8+ years & never had anything stolen, even removed the security devices off of the TPMS sensors cause they were a PITA to remove/install when checking pressures. Locking lug nuts would be just another key to keep up with. I might consider them if I were storing the coach for extended periods, but even then if they want something they'll get it just depends how much they tear up to get it.

You can buy exact replacement lug nuts from Costco in the tire department for $1.69 each. As I recall the nuts are 9/16" diameter by 18 tpi by 1-3/4" long. I carry a few spares. I can't imagine them loosening if properly torqued. We have had trailers for 11 years and never lost a lug nut.

Agree!

Our Jeep has those lug nuts that need a matching tool to take the one security lug nut off each wheel as an ant-theft device.

I asked our mechanic if he has difficulty with these if the owner has lost the tool. "No", he replied. "I have a tool that takes of any of these"

I'm sure the bad guys have the same tool!
