Max Air Pressure Before Potential Blowout:

http://www.rvtiresafety.net/

Interesting article...There is Max Pressure for towing and MAX AIR before blowout. Max pressure for towing is listed on the sidewall. I've always wondered how much air pressure would cause the tire to "blow".

Temps play a factor for "pressure".

When I changed from the factory E rated Marathon's (after one of those tires failed in the first 500 miles blowing out our RW's side wall) I downloaded the manufacturer's load/tire pressure chart for the new 17.5 inch H-rated tires. Using the data from the RV weight data, obtained at the RW rally, I adjust the air pressure to that data. In my case that is about 120 PSI. As some have recommended, I adjust where major loads are carried inside so as to have the correct tire pressure (or reasonably close) for each tire. I still fret and check the tires at every pit stop even though I have a TPMS monitoring the tire pressure and temperature. Those damaging blowouts are no fun at interstate speeds.
