Might be a stupid question, but if a jack is leaking back to the reservoir have you checked the manual valve is fully closed. The one for the front legs is located on the top of one of the legs, probably the driver side. The others are on the oil distribution box above the batteries.

For me...I have already checked that.

We have thought about the RV SnapPads, I'm wondering if those would add the cushion that the wood blocks provide?

The only time we notice popping is with significant temperature changes. It actually sounds a little like the sound my Sticks & Bricks house had when we owned it.

I would guess they would, but to me for the price you could buy a lot of wood blocks, just my .02 cents.

Your problem must be some sort of a leak back into the reservoir if you don't see any oil leaking externally. I don't have to do any re-leveling, we spent 3 months in one location in southern California and one roadside wheel was slightly off the ground after the leveling, 3 months later that wheel was still slightly off the ground before we retracted the legs.

For what it's worth, the popping seems to occur only during long stays, I find that even significant temperature changes don't cause popping during short stays of a day or two between retractions. No popping today even though the temperature at our location varies between freezing and 70F.

Some people I've talked with in campgrounds say that during a long stay the strive to take the landing gears up and down at least every 30 days. I've seen people hook up, run their landing gears up and down 2 or three times, the without going anywhere disconnect and auto-level.

Perhaps there is something to that.....

That's exactly what the guys at the service center told me, spray jacks with silicone weekly when parked for extended periods & operate jacks & slides monthly.
