FlexAir. I had the plain rotoflex and changed before going to the rally last year

Looking at the Mor/Ryde pin box it would appear to be much lighter weight than a Triglide or flex air. One would think it would therefore be much easier to lift into place and attach after removing the existing pin box.

The replacement lower jaw for a Triglide pin box weighs 79 pounds. A complete flex air pin box assembly weighs approximately 250 pounds. The Mor/Ryde weighs 179 lbs. It is on sale at Lazydaz now for $446. Is that a good price? Free freight.

I replaced my triglide with the flex air myself...

I used a rolling cart rated for 500#, a floor jack strapped to the top of it, and a hefty block of wood.. Once the old one was un bolted, I lowered the floor jack ( that was mounted on the top of the rolling cart) and rolled it to my other truck, then I just rolled it off into the back..

I then rolled the flex air to the rear if my truck, maneuvered it over to the edge and lifted it onto the top of the jack..

I would have loved to have more muscle, but was impatient and wanted to be done with it.. If your doing it yourselves, plan on having enough muscle to carry 250+ pounds in an awkward position..

I also had a 3/4" drive impact wrench to break the bolts down..

I met a few folks that placed the pinbox on the bed of the truck, they used the landing gear to lift and lower the front in and out of the bolt pattern..

the issue with that ( for me ) was the way I would have had to lay on the tailgate and contort my body to undo the bolts.. that is why I choose the rolling table/cart.

Be aware when I was at MoRyde getting my IS done and asked about Pin Box replacement, the guys at MoRyde asked if I wanted the exact same length as the Tri Glide, they would have to assemble one as it was a special.
I wanted to make sure the length of the Pin Box matched my old Tri Glide as I did not want to decrease the distance between my Truck and Redwood even by a few inches.
I can open my front storage compartment door with my Truck connected, if the Pin Box was shorter, it would make the gap tighter and I may not be able to open the storage compartment door.

Same as Rob - when I replaced mine, MorRyde emailed me a very detailed form to supply measurements and part numbers from the old pinbox.
Like Rob, I can drop my tailgate when I'm hitched.

Rusting stairs are a common thing, I guess. Mine are rusting too. Also, the top jaw on my pin box has shed most of its paint.

I also had rust ,did not even bother arguing... While at Tiara getting my Onan installed, I had them toss on the new Aluminum Steps. Although the frame is still steel...

The top of both of our original stairs didn't just rust, we developed tears right through the metal. Both were replaced and then at the rally we installed the aluminium ones.

I thought we had a Triglide. In looking the brand is a Trailair, RotoFlex. I am assuming this is a different brand. You have all mentioned the Triglide. We will probably still look at the MorRyde, but I feel a little less rushed.

Lippert TrailAir RotoFlex is the standard pin box and nothing wrong with it.

The rotoflex is a good hitch. I would have never replaced mine if I could have gotten bed rail clearance with it

The Roto-Flex is similar in design to the Mor/ryde. Where the Roto-Flex rocks back and forth on it's Rubber, the Mor/ryde slide back and forth on it Rubber. The nice thing about the Mor/ryde, the King Pin stays vertical, where the Roto-Flex actually tilts the King Pin forward and back. Sorry if that explaination is as plain as Mud.
