The pump shuts off after five seconds of operation. After a "cool down" period of five seconds the pump can be restarted. This occurs for slides in or out and Jacks up or down. The electrical connections at the pump are tight. The sump fluid level, with jacks up and slides in is at the line. Any ideas?

First...Try disconnecting the battery and waiting 3-5 minutes for the "memory" to clear.

No guarantees, but sometimes computers whack out for no reason.

Next, check to see if there is anything binding up. That might take 2 persons.

3rd, try looking through the LCI Manual.

4th, Call Lippert and try Customer Service.

The call to Lippert was answered promptly this morning.. The CS person recommended that any thermal overload be replaced as a first step (as recommended by other RW owners).

I traced the leads from the pump's solenoid operated directional control valve assembly (controls forward and reverse pump operation) back to the positive 12 VDC bus. No thermal overload is in either the plus or negative side of the wiring to the pump directional valve assembly or the pump motor. The motor is wired with about 6 AWG copper cable. Thanks.

Do you know if there is a thermal overload device protecting the leveling/slide pump on a 2013 36 RL?

Here is a diagram that shows the breakers as part of the bus bar.

Thank you. That was a lot of help. The area looks like it had been sprayed with flat black paint making everything blend together.

The 50 amp hydraulic pump breaker was replaced. All is great in RV land!
