With only 2k miles on a '13, does that mean you replaced the original Marabombs with more Marabombs? Hope you saved the blown tire as GY will pay for repairs & at least 1 new tire. Should've contacted Titan Guy & got his deal on the Hs & no more tire worries.

That's the problem. Disc Brakes or Tires, you never know for sure you need to upgrade until after an incident.
Be careful with the Tow Max tires. I had an Alpine with them and less than 8k on them when I lost all four tires in a matter of 6 hours. I was doing 63, 1000 lbs below weight, and all tires at 80. When not in use the tires were in an enclose bldg. with no sun. When Tow Max corp was contacted they said it was my fault and only gave $ 500 to help replace the tires. I will never go back or recommend them, and yes, $ 6800 for repairs. Both sides needed repairs. Hope you have much better luck than me.
Would have been nice to have had a choice however we were captive with 75+ MPH traffic whizzing by two feet from us, middle nowhere and late Sunday afternoon. We will change out the Tow Max's in the near future. We will be adding a TPMS to keep an eye on tire temperatures and pressures.
They tires date code was four years old. Did not save the tire. Not a lot of value. Will upgrade from the Tow Max in the near future.
I had a interesting though today.
If I have my Redwood weighted with individual scales under each wheel and lets say come up with a weight of 3300 lbs. per wheel for a total weight of 6600 lbs. per axle.
Since the tires and rims actually weight approximately 100 lbs. each, that weight is not on the axle / springs so is my actual weight 3200 lbs. or 6400 lbs. on the axles and springs ???
If you are putting on a tire that will give you 25% reserve load capacity, you no longer worry about a couple of hundred lbs. here or there.
No, axle weight is not adjusted for tire weight.
Once you put G114s on, you can almost forget about tire issues, unless you really abuse them.

It's only 50 lbs you can subtract from the weight cause half the tire is under the axle :side:
