Who is best to do the work? Any problems with the change? How long does it take, we have a residential fridge and would worry about spoiling food
Any info would be great
Thanks

We had MorRyde install 8K axels, disc brakes, storage slideout tray, new brake controller at their factory in Indiana. We arrived on a Sunday as they have parking spots with electric. They started on our coach at 0630 the following morning, making measurements; They completed the coach the following day around 1:30. They allow you to stay in your coach at night (give you a key to get in) and your coach is plugged into electric the entire time. They have a waiting room you can stay in but there is quite a lot to see in the area so the time goes by quickly. They did a very professional job and we are very pleased with the results. Makes a big difference in the ride of the coach.

(574) 293-1581 Our cost was approximately $6K. When you call them and discuss what you want and type
Of RV you have you receive an estimate

Thank you, I'll give them a call tomorrow. I'm hoping to get it done during the national rally.

Be sure to call around for pricing...Here locally, we have a Rockwell American. I spot checked with them for the 8K axles and Disc brakes...All I can tell you is that it was a LOT less expensive than going to an RV dealer of any kind. You'll have to find a trailer shop or spring and axle shop to install them.

I have another question, what made you decide to upgrade? Did you have spring problems? Mine look pretty flat and I'm doing the upgrade for piece of mind. Do you like the disc brakes? My coach has less than 3000 miles on it and was going to put that change off for a while. Now I'm thinking it may as well be done while I have it in for the axle and spring upgrade.
Thanks

We have 20,000 + miles with many of those miles through the Rockies.

Never had a problem with the existing brakes, but we are upgrading to disc at the Rally based on risk and piece of mind. Never had a problem with the current brakes, but research dictates that disc brakes are better. While we haven't experienced an issue yet, I have no doubt that someday we will be thankful we did the upgrade.

First off....This SHOULD be a MANDATORY requirement on rigs of this size and weight...IN FACT, there ought to be a law against selling such weak electric brakes like this...

Having said that, you will be grateful once you experience a trip across the mountains or have some one slam on their brakes in front of you...
