Interesting. I've heard very good things about the Sailuns. I'm hoping to replace my own Westlakes with them and add the Ford tire pressure monitors at the same time.
I have a 2018 3901 MB with the 4100 as well. The shackles on the 4100 end are indeed the 1/2” heavy duty shackles. The shackles on the other end, attached to the frame are unfortunately the same old 1/4”.
I had a stubborn grease fitting as well and found that if I ran the coach up on the level up jacks it took the pressure off the springs and it took grease.
I'll have to check my end shackles as well. You'd think if they were gonna include very good quality parts from the factory it would be on the entire suspension. I guess they gotta cut corners somewhere.

I’m a strong proponent of Sailuns. When I did my research a couple of years ago I could not find a documented blow out of a Sailun on a trailer. I have the G rated and I know people are just as happy with the 17.5” H’s also. I got about 25,000 miles out of the Westlakes before I saw sidewall crackng and now I’ve got about 25,000 on the Sailuns with very little wear.
I wonder if the Heavy Duty Shackles were part of the MORryde Equalizer Kit, while the rears are standard RW.
And not to put any bad press on Sailuns, but I saw a stack of 17.5s at MORryde that were stamped "Made in Viet Nam"

I'm a bit confused. There are no shackles on the other end of the springs. Just the spring hanger which are welded directly to the frame. Am I missing something?
The end of the spring hanger which is welded to the trailer frame holds the end of the spring which is what you need to check for nylon bushings not the middle part between the tires
Hi Everyone,
I have a question or too. I see that the MorRyde 4100 suspension does not have shocks. I had a trailer that had the MorRyde IS suspension and it had shocks. Can someone please explain why the 4100 suspension doesn't need shocks and the better IS suspension has them. I am a little confused. I am new to this trailer game.
Thank you for any input,
Al

My understanding of the MorRyde LRE is the 4000 is the aftermarket product and the 4100 is the OEM product used by Redwood and a number of other manufacturers
MorRyde customizes the LRE 4100 for the manufacturer using them by adding their name to the product. MorRyde does that type of name customization on a number of their products for the OEM's
Good to see the Morryde on the Redwood instead of LCI. That is a Keystone thing I think because Montana always had the LRE (no fancy nameplate though :))
On the Montana, I tried to find out what the LRE was and was told it was the OEM version (RV manufacturer version) without shocks. Not sure if that is true anymore. The RE version came with shocks, which seems consistent with their webpage today.
PunksRedwood's pictures look like they do have the X-Factor, or part of it anyway. It looks like there is a square tube steel bar between the suspension springs.
