Settled in to watch some TV after a short trip from Mississippi to Florida and out of the blue my surround sound/CD player loses power. Check the breaker box and a 12v fuse is blown, replaced fuse blows as soon as I plug it in. Any suggestions would help.

Not sure about yours but all my sound system/DVD-CD is 120 volt which should/would be a circuit breaker or the GFCI tripping. Don't know what fuse might keep blowing but those are 12 volt so it sounds like you've got 2 seperate issues.

Thanks for the response, I will post what the solutions end up being. I'm not ready to pay a dealer $165 per hour to do what I can do...

Pulled breaker panel out, and blew it out with canned air based on a suggestion that debris could have worked its way onto the control board and it solved the problem. There was a lot of debris in the lower portion of the control panel.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I appreciate it.
