When I take (Pad) out of the base it does not stay connected. When I plug it back into the base everything displays properly. I have checked all the wifi settings. The computer is not my friend.
Just noticed this is your first post, so welcome to the Redwood Owner's Group, where you will find many fellow owners willing to share their knowledge & experience.
Unfortunately, this is a tough one for most of us, as our older Redwoods don't have this technology.
When removing the pad from the base, does the pad have power - if yes, the internal battery and charging arrangement is OK. If not, could be either the battery is dead or the charger is not making a good connection.
If the pad has power, but doesn't connect, then I would suspect a wi-fi issue - pad antenna is either switched off/defective or the transmitting station is defective, based on your confirmation the settings are correct.
Is their any way to re-boot the system, as this frequently will correct computer issues?
You need to make sure wifi is working. Too complicated to explain here, but I had the same issue and my best recommendation is to call Lippert tech support. I did and they were great in walking me through the setup and my RV pad is working great both in and out of the cradle.
