I'm wanting to change out our original TV bracket, as it only swings out one way (toward the kitchen area). I'd like to have it swivel both ways, as we are considering getting rid of our pull out couch and going with a couple of Lazyboy type chairs. We own a 2015 38RL and it is the original swivel.

Any suggestions on what I could find to do that would be greatly appreciated.

Steve

Take a look at the MORryde site, they have many options.

I second looking at Morryde.. I replaced the stationary tv mount outside my 38RL with a Morryde articulating arm that I got from Makarios RV.. at the time, they were the cheapest by far, including direct from Morryde..

I've looked at the options on the MorRyde site and I'm not sure any of them would work. I took a picture of what I have and attempted to attach it. Basically, my mount is on a steel rod mounted at the top and the bottom of the cabinet. I'm hoping you can see that in the picture.

Any suggestions?

I will look around the web

I would have thought for sure yours had that Joe, in 2016. Ours had a full tilt and swivel in 2014, but that was before there was storage in the back. Ours mounted right in the middle behind the TV, and the TV set back a few inches into that cabinet.

Brad,

I can pull my TV out like 16" ,swivel it so it can either be seen from upstairs in the bedroom , or clearly from outside the rear window, in any direction..

Mine is mounted directly in the center, and has a nylon strap with 2 clasps to secure it during transit.

It looks like Steve is only able to swivel it towards the front of the coach.??

As it looks like this might be a little challenge, I wanted to include another picture of the entire mount. You will see a 3-4 black piece coming out the side. That is the latch that holds the TV secure. I just don't understand why RW would have a mount that would only come out in one direction (toward the kitchen). Especially since the couch is to the rear of the unit.

I'm thinking it must be because you have the storage behind the TV. I do not so mount is attached in the middle and not the side like yours.

Joe.... do you have storage?

Mine is identical. Probably the only way to get the swivel would be to attach one to the center of that bracket. This would cause the TV to stick out from the cabinet. Or you would need to beef up the pantry side with 2×4s to install an end mount swivel.anything in the middle of the cabinet and you will lose that storage

Yes, I have 3 shelves behind my TV for storage. So there is no where presently to put in an aftermarket mount. It is starting to look like I'll just have to deal with it..... 🙁

Sounds similar to ours Joe - do you have storage shelves behind it?

Ours had a chain pull on the bottom to release it, then it could be swiveled in any direction. Ours was only the 40" TV though, the 55" was only available in the RE at the time. That quickly changed a few months after we bought ours, and the 55" became available in many of the models. I always figured the 55" was too heavy to swing around like that which was why they change it, but maybe not!

We had the same mount on ours. While at RW, they replaced our TV with a new one and had to change out the mount that fit the new TV. They ended up adding wood to the frame for the mount to attach to. I'll try to take pictures tomorrow of the modification.

I don't think this particular mount (with the latch) was for viewing pleasure; but for access to the storage area behind the TV.

This is the mount that came with our 17 39 MB, we have the storage as well but this one can pull out and swing in both directions. If you notice there is a clip on the shelf that the tv snaps into to hold it in place and there are straps added for travel. i searched the mount for some identification (manufacturer, model number) but couldn't find anything. Don't know if you have a wood face on the side of the storage to mount this type or not, but it might be an option. You might call RW and see if they cab provide info.
