Planning a Northeast trip next summer and would like some suggestions for sites to see and camp sites in up state NY, Maine, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
I also want to see the JFK presidential library in Boston but do not want to get too close to the big city with my 38 footer so any suggestions on this situation?

Just be sure to be in Shipshewana Indiana mid July for the RW rally. If you've never attended one you won't regret it & WILL have the time of your life with about a 100 other RW owners. After that long weekend the rest of your summer will be rather boring. LOL!

We have been to 3 and love all three. We are planning to come to the rally and then leave for our trip east on I-80/90 after that.
We have missed the last two rallys but not next year.
Yes that's a trip me and Mrs. Karen want to make in the next year or so.
trying to time it for a couple Patriots home games in the mix. Would love to hear the details when your done for the in's and outs'

We are just finishing up an extended summer trip through the Canadian Maritimes and have really enjoyed our trip. We are traveling in our Redwood 38FL (42') and had no real issues getting into and out of these spots.
I will say though, having completed another extended trip a few years ago, from Key West (Mile marker 0) to the Arctic Circle, we both felt like the roads in Alaska are far better than the roads out here. Just be prepared for some bumpy rides.
I've attached our route in PDF and Excel format. Not sure what you prefer. See note regarding that we are now in Halifax and have included our forward planning as we head back to the states for the fall. If we have any issues regarding what we have planned I'll post a follow up.
Regarding wanting a place to stay in the Boston area, we've stayed once at the Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA. It's pretty close to the Quincy side of the MBTA Red Line subway which gets you access into Boston with out having to deal with the in town traffic, parking and all that. They say 40' max length but also they accept big rigs. We squeezed in to site K003 but that's probably not the only site we could have fit. It's a beautiful park, quite and very heavily forested.
Note that I said "once". Not sure how you feel about traffic, but it's pretty crazy anywhere around there. We made it work, but our "happy place" got pretty small in the process. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Of course this all comes with the standard CMA "I've done everything I can to insure the accuracy of this information and you can know this is what we traveled using, but can't guarantee it is not without error or omissions. Use only as a reference and make sure to verify all information and confirm the route is safe for traveling in your rig." OK, I said it, now go enjoy yourself and travel safe.

Not sure where your coming from but if you need a stop over location heading north you can enjoy a few nights at Normandy farms in Foxboro Ma. it located just a few miles off I95 and I495 . really easy high way access and its right in the middle of Providence RI and Boston Ma. No problem with big rig parking . It has great reviews on line We have never stayed there because its 3 mile from our house! The JFK trip from this camp site is about 35-45 mins without weekday rush hour traffic.
Last year we stayed at Pinewood Lodge in Plymouth and used that as our base. Caught the train in Plymouth to Boston and did whale watching, Lexington/Concord and the Freedom Trail - very very enjoyable - Plymouth Plantation and Grist Mill, drove to Newport RI and Provincetown MA on Cape Cod. No trouble handling the Redwood. Would easily do it again!
Forgot one thing. As you go north GPS will route you on I-93 through Boston. That’s the tunnel under downtown Boston and I wasn’t going to do that with Big Red. We took the I-95 loop around to the west and continued on 95 north into NH and Maine.
