Greetings Ken,

Just a question if you are still managing the website...

Can the Menu Bar on the left hand side of the screen be made stationary (with a slight scroll to capture all of the topics)? (separate from the right hand side with all of the posts)

When looking at the various posts on the right hand side of the screen, there are many times when I want to access the left side bar. But presently, I have to scroll the entire page back up to get to it.

Maybe it's just the internet version we are using? (i.e. FireFox, IE, etc)

Hi Greg,

Yes I am still managing the website until the AGM meeting in July. Who ever gets elected to replace me on the board will be taking over that responsibility.

With regards to the stationary side bar it is not related to your browser it is related to the template (i.e. style sheets) that are used on the site. The does not have the feature to do what you are looking for.

There are a number of templates available that do have that feature as well as the feature to have drop down menus from the top they stay locked. I looked into updating the site with a different template but decided that with my travel schedule it was ill advised to make that modification without knowing for sure it would not disrupt the site.

Perhaps the new incoming team after the AGM will decide they want to take on that task.

With regards to how I interact with the forum so I don't have that issue, I will generally either use the back button to return to the index or recent tab rather than scrolling to the top. I also will use the "Open in new tab" feature of Safari to read a post then just close the tab to return to the list.

Thanks for your feedback.
