I was hoping someone might help me get the roof drawings and any other drawings for my 2014 GK38. I would like them for future reference in case I need to do any repairs. Would like to install a vent in the bedroom someday.

We have procured a few drawinsg in the past couple of years, but unfortunately that isn't one of them. I asked RW only a couple of weeks ago if we could receive additional drawings for supplementing the Technical Library.

Unfortunately the response was negative, as they are only provided to dealers & service stations.

If you locate one, please forward and I will upload to the Technical Library.

Thanks Oriana,

I contacted Redwood yesterday and found out the same thing. Which by the way the rep. managed to bring out the not so nice side of me on the phone with the way he handled it.

My only other way is go through the dealer which is very busy and at least 3 months from doing any work. A couple of things come to mind about this attitude Thor/Redwood has taken. 1. Could it be since the RV industry is so unregulated the fear of legal issues? 2. They are fearful that most of us are more capable then most techs at said dealers taking the time to just repair it ourselves not having to go through all the bull-hockey?

It is beyond me why they would not work with the customer in these types of requests the few that they would probably get. Kind of hard to swallow when most appliances you buy come with an electrical schematic taped somewhere in the internal workings of said appliance. It is not like I need every detail just an idea where everything is so as to find the safest best way to make changes of my choosing to my coach. Just an idea of where things are in the hidden depths of the RW.

There was a day long ago when the industry would work with you every step of the way. Now it has come down to the almighty dollar every step of the way. Yet while in their control being an owner will force you to except shoddy workmanship. Sorry state of affairs in my honest opinion.

Here's my nickel's worth: They do not follow any specific wiring or plumbing diragrams when building so there's no way they can tell you if you might cut into wiring in the case of the roof/ceiling. So rather than giving you something that might not match your unit, they just refuse to give you anything.
Oh, by the way, RW is not alone in the stance of not suppling drawings.

That is what I thought but our does not Danny. Miss being able to bring fresh air in at night over the bed via the roof vent....

Time to invest in a cable camera, hoping that the wiring is there for a fantastic fan install.....

Danny....... I believe that was optional. We do not have a vent in the bedroom but we do have a vent in the adjoining bathroom. I chose not to order the bedroom vent option.

I would almost bet an adult beverage that it's wired as most of those assembly guys are not the sharpest pencils in the drawer to add the optional equipment without having everything in place.
Be sure to add the Maxx Air fan, not the Fantastic, they are quieter & have the wall mounted switch.

Yep, we went thru that with our '12 36RL, thought there would be a vent in the bedroom, but NO, so when we ordered this '16 39MB we made sure we ordered fans in the kitchen, bath, and bedroom.
We like to use the bedroom fan in reverse mode drawing cool outside air in and right down onto the bed. Saves running the AC when the temps aren't too high.

This may not be a 38GK, but maybe it will give you some kind of an idea what you are looking at...You might drop a light fixture or two and camera probe the attic. Be careful looking. You might be disappointed at what else you may find...

Thank you so much for the photos these help big time. The last picture had FL written on the backside of the ceiling it look like but it give me a great idea of what goes where on the construction especially where the air ducting runs and how the wiring runs along the ducting except where is goes to its designated location. Sorry I didn't get back sooner had a wedding over the weekend and just to busy to have the time to catch up here.
