Attic Vent Cap
Any of you ever loose one of your attic vent caps? They apparently just screw onto a 1/4" bolt.
Not sure if it blew off because of the 60 mph winds over the weekend or maybe it snagged on a low tree branch?
Anyway...I can't find just the cap on the internet or at least not yet. I don't see a brand name. Does anyone know where to find one of these? I may call Tiara in the next couple of days if I can't find one locally...
Thinking out loud, why is there not a "powered" attic vent to remove heat and moisture from your attic space? Another money-making opportunity perhaps?

I thought that might be it, but since they did not show it in pieces, I was not sure that it was a screw-on. I would like to find just the cap and not have to buy the whole thing if possible.
Thanks for helping!
Some other retailer sites show the same RecPro cap taken apart, looks the same as what Redwood used on mine and yours.
I doubt you can find just the cover itself on such a low cost item, it appears there is no direct sales from the manufacturer.
If you had a newer unit you wouldn't have a problem, since it seems the newer units don't have attic vents. Must be a cost savings since those Mushroom Attic Vents are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive.
Word of advice, put a dab of RTV/Silicone on the cover threads, and yes you have to buy to complete assembly approx 10 to 15 bucks.
