Last night I extended our 2 awnings and turned on the LED lights. ONLY the LED's on the main awning came on , not the ones on the slide??

I checked the 2 wires coming out of the wall to the awning fabric , no bare wires... I checked the other end, unplugged the strip at the awning roll...
The only thing I was unable to check here is if I am getting power to the LED's?
Is there a fuse in the wall of the slide?
Does anyone know the routing of the wires?

Joe

Did you try using a 12volt test light at the awning role to see if you have power there

Has anyone figured this problem out yet? My LED lights also went out on the kitchen slide. I got up to check it out and found one wire had broken. Which had happened before. However when I tried to reconnect them i found no power coming to them and now both slides LED light are out. I have looked for a fuse. Cannot find one. Can anyone offer a little direction?

We had a couple of issues with awning lights. When they went completely dead it was caused by a loose connector at the back of the switch in the control panel.

Mark,

My issue was caused by a broken wire inside the awning edge, Carefree told me the whole fabric needed to be replaced. When I was looking for the initial problem, I found a inline fuse in the wall, attached to the wires that go to the switch.
Remove the LED switch, and pull the wires out, gently ! ! Try that

The more I read on several rv forums the more I'm glad I don't have ANY of those new fangled lights that "last forever", you know them LEDs. Everyone that has them seem to be always messing with them, they are totally not working, half not working, or replacing them, inside & outside.

I'll have to retract the statement that I don't have any LEDs, I replaced my tail lights & back lights all 4 to LED stop/tail lights & they've worked great & they are much brighter than the factory lights.

Right on the nose! That's why I don't have any LEDs but the one in the CareFree awning (what an oxymoron - Care Free my tail). 3/4 of them have been out for some time. I think I still have the original 2014 bulbs in the front porch lights.

Danny,

I did the same 4 years ago and they have been working great ever since installation.

Also, I started replacing the halogen ceiling lamps, as they failed, in 2013 and have replaced about 3/4 of all the halogen lamps. I have only had one LED fail in 4 years. I have also had to replace the incandescent lamps outside this past fall. I replaced them with LED versions.

I don't have any of the BLING stuff on the awnings or around the island.

Thanks Guys for the help and response. I found that elusive 5 amp fuse hiding behind and below the on/off switch for the awning lights. Got my tiny wire patched up and all back working. For now!!! B)
