Does anyone happen to have the specific colors on the Tan and Burgundy. Redwood's touch up paint has the RW reference # on the little bottle. I need to try to match the silver/grey color.
George
Just posted this on the other forum:
Our 36RL black/maroon painted 2-11-2013
Main (Gold): FA99:B2
Cream Stripe: CHA04:XWG
Burgundy Stripe: 304:E2
Black Stripe: GMA984A
It, and other paint colors are listed on a manual in the Manual section of the ROG Technical Library:
Redwood Paint Formulas
It details the colors for the 2012 (I don't think their were other years, but I may have missed it.).
I may use the silver and expect that will get me close. We are using it for the radius of the roof, so it won't have any metallic. But getting the formula helps.
Because of the metallic, it is very hard to tell if that final color is silver, pewter or a light gold.
Thanks for all your help.
I can say that when my wife opened the slide onto my scaffolding when the trailer was only a few months old, I called Precision Paint in Elkhart. They said this paint ( Sikkens ) is very expensive.. I looked locally for an alternative supplier and found a distributor that would sell it to my local body shop. It was several hundred dollars for a quart...
Joe,
The cost doesn't totally surprise me. I am also finding it is going to be almost impossible to match the color from a formula. What I had not factored in the metallic--which I can't use.
We had to paint the water heater cover and were able to match the paint colors by taking samples to the local auto parts store. We bought rattle cans of spray paint and were amazed how closely that they matched our black and tan color scheme.
George,
Here are the 2014 38GK Colors (Our rig was painted 4/10/13):
Cream: CHA04:XWG
Red: 304E2
Gold: FA99:B2
Black: GMA984A

Like others, I've been able to do "touch ups" using spray cans from the auto supply or even Lowes. The TPO roof is notorious for flaking off. The black is by far the easiest to match.
George,
I have a can of the Sikkens metallic gray/silver color. The can has the following info:
FRD00:AQ, Standard
Ford, AQ Arizona Beige, Arizona Gold
I will send a photo of the can to Lisa'a email.
That was my issue, to have the fender match the skirting and have the same metallic. . ..
RW sent me 2 extra touch up bottles at no cost, 1 was plenty to spray the fender..
