Fender Skirt Supports:

If you have not checked in a while, you may want to crawl under the skirts to see if you have a screw loose (no pun intended) 😆 Spouses...stay out of this one...

After 2 years of use, many of ours came out. Of course, they were too small to begin with. I added a few and increased the size to 3/8" x 3/8" Stainless Steel, Self-Tapping.

On our 34Sk I discovered that some of our skirt supports had never even bee attached. It was an easy fix. Just another illustration of the quality control issues even in supposedly higher end rigs.

Here's a couple pics of how I stiffened the side skirts.

The last one is how I stiffened that piece on the end from flopping.

We had to try and tighten ours or replace. Looks like the holes got bigger with vibrations.

If the larger bolts strip out, I'll go back with bolts and nylon nuts (lower 3 screws). If the upper screws strip out, I'll go back with even larger self tapping screws...

Last year I added vertical supports, now I added horizontal with stainless screws to hold fender skirts.

Danny.........yes. Don't know what happened there. I was just asking if you still had fender skirt flapping after you added the vertical supports? The original factory service center at Syracuse added the vertical supports to mine at the first year warranty inspection and they really stiffened those skirts on mine.

Yes Guy especially at the plastic skirt area. I've reinforced all the holes with JB Weld & added the horizontal supports so we'll see how the plastic holds up now.
