All the time...The tend to rust up.

Just use some WD-40 to break it lose and follow up with Silicon Spray.

I have to do this about twice a year.

Silicone spray regularly. They catch a lot of road grime as it is, so would not recommend adding WD40 for it to stick to, unless it's the silicone WD40.

We traded the original steps at the 2016 rally to the Lippert Aluminium 4-tread. Similar to Danny we spray with silicone and move in and out a few times.

Use silicone spray monthly to keep steps from locking up or being stiff to use. We full-time and move often; however, without lubing them up frequently, they get stiff to use in no time.
