Anyone know where to get the round, plastic guide that the shower hose runs through ?
Just had one break and I'd like to get a couple so I have a spare on board.

It's the little round plastic guide that screws onto the shower wall with 2 screws in an RL. Might be in other units also but never noticed.

Vaughan ,

Have you checked with the local Hardware store, or HD/Lowes ? I would think that you could get one from one of those places . .

Vaughan - the parts are made by Durafaucet. It's called a Shower Hose Ring part DF-SA155-SN Satin Nickel. See the last page of their catalog here:

Durafaucet

I've got warranty parts from them for peeling, but not sure if they sell retail direct. Regardless, you can get it on Amazon.com

I took the hose out of it so we could lay the head on the floor while traveling & now that is a great razor holder.

Danny...we "repurposed" ours also. We took the hose out and now it's our squeegee holder. Works like a champ!

We hated that sound of a giant zipper every time you moved the shower head also.

The reason that ring is there for the shower hose is to prevent back siphoning into the fresh water supply in case the backflow preventer in the shower valves fail. It is to be installed so that the shower head can not touch the floor of the shower pan when ran through that ring. It leaves the factory that way to meet code and then most unthread the shower head and run the hose outside of that ring so it is easier to use. I know we did on ours too.

Vaughn,

That shower ring broke off during our first year of owning our Redwood because, during one of our trips, the shower head bounce out of its holder and snapped the ring off the shower wall on the way to the floor. I never tried to replace it. I just always lay the shower head and hose on the shower floor to keep it from damaging the shower floor from falling on it.

The prices at Amazon are way out of line for $1.00 plastic part but what choice does one have. I may replace mine but not place the shower hose in it until I get ready to sell the Redwood someday.

Found it on Amazon and was actually able to get a Brushed Nickel one made of metal. Still think it costs to much but going with it.

Steve, I bought a Redwood and now that I'm semi retired and borderline broke from trying to keep up with you, I'll try and be a bit more frugal ........ LOL.

That was a good comment, gotta give you that one.
