RE: Slide Seals

Has anyone "experienced" replacing your slide seals?

Did you do it yourself or send it to the shop?

The main slides look like "H" rubber seals. If that is the case, it appears that the slides would have to be removed in order to do that (unless aftermarket seal kits are available).

Thoughts? Cost (Self replaced and factory replaced)?

I replaced the seal that is on the very edge of the slide , it rides in a small "T" track and the seal is almost half round.... This was the one---- it was very easy , but I'm sure not the one you want...

Do you remember where you purchased the materials? I'll need to do that one eventually. Did you just cut a piece and take it in?

I took the bad seal out a little bit and emailed a close up picture of end of the seal to my dealer. They ordered I believe 10' possibly 20' and had it shipped directly to my house..
The first batch was wrong , I took another picture , this time of both and sent it... Later that week I had the right stuff, I just placed the wrong batch back in the box and sent it to the dealer for their stock...

This was one slide seal I need to replace. But I am also soliciting input for the main slide seals. They look to be some kind of "H" seal. I took this picture at the factory. It looks just like mine. It looks like they installed it before insert the slide. So...If we want the exact replacement, it looks difficult to replace. If there is an aftermarket everyone is using, I would like to hear about it.
