We have had our redwood coach a couple of weeks now and have had a problem with carpet stains caused by the kitchen slide everytime we put the slide in and out. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a cure. I have never had this happen in any of my other 5th wheels. It makes me sick to have a 2 foot long black stripe on brand new carpeting

Our brand new unit had the strip when we looked at it at the dealership.
The service department at the dealership said it was caused by the seal being tucked up under the slide. They put the seal back into it's proper position and cleaned the carpet. The service department showed me where the seal was tucked up under and how it should be. I have opened and closed the slide about 6 times since then and the mark has not shown up again.

On my Montego Bay , I had that happen on all the slides.. As it turned out , it was actually the glue from the eternobond at the corners. On that model , when they assembled the slides , they put 4" plastic angle on the bottoms of the slides , they GLUED these on .
When the slides glide in and out , the weight of the slides pushed the glue out of the edge of the plastic. The glue got dirty , and viola... Looks like Grease.
Whtat I did was , clean the carpet really well , and purchased some " Slide Slickers" .. They are 4" wide by 36" long strips of plastic made to go on the carpet at the corners when they will be retracted... Just remove them when extended and toss in a closet

Did you get this worked out TulsaTraveler?

We have only had a teeny spot show up on the dining side slide.
