Just bought our new full-time RV in April, moved in May 10. The other day my husband noticed the dining chair back was wobbly. Turns out it had broken where the back joins the base of the chair, broken on both sides. When my husband pulled the upholstery loose to expose the wood, it was discovered that the frame for the chair back is made of pressboard instead of solid wood. It simply snapped and so the chair is garbage. The dealer plans to contact Redwood for a replacement chair, stated this was the second Redwood owner she had heard from about a broken chair. My concern is, will the other dining chair we have break? Will the replacement chair end up the same way? Funny, the two folding chairs that match these are all wood. Hmmm

Don & Pam congratulations on selecting a Redwood and welcome to the Redwood Owners Group. You will find many owners here willing to help and share their knowledge.

While our coach is a 2013, we had the opposite experience. Our folding chairs were built correctly, but were not designed for adults. Our 2 other chairs are well built and are still going strong.

In our experience Redwood stands behind their product, so if you experience issues with the other chair it should also be replaced.

I consider the folding chairs more for temporary use, I've had to do minor repairs, some of the fittings holding the chairs together had to be tightened/modified, especially if going from humid to dry conditions, the chairs "loosened up".

The dining chairs, both the folding and fixed are well built in our 2013 RL and really do the job. Both adults and children use the folding chairs without issues.

When we were shopping for our fiver , we sat in many trailers... The Redwood chairs were hands down the most solid.. Even the folding chairs seemed top be above par..
