I am picking up a new 2017 Redwood 39MB mid 1/2 bath Friday and and noticed when we put a hanger on the rod it hits the door and wall toward the rear. It has 4 to 6 inches toward the front wall. Can the bar be relocated and be in sturdy ceiling rafters or whatever it can be attached to?? This is a leftover model they have had or 18 months.
Hanging clothes on it will not be possible the way it is unless you twist the hangers so they hang sideways.my fear is the dealer will move the mounts but they will not be in a sturdy roof area.
Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

David, you are probably correct about the dealer. It can be fixed by removing the sliding doors and the track that holds the doors in place. There is a seam in the ceiling at that location. The dealer should be able to slide a piece of plywood in to make a backer plate to hold the screws. Screwing into the ceiling panel will not work. This issue was corrected in later builds.

Thank You for the great information to get it fixed right. I really appreciate you taking the time to send this.
I know I will be able t see the size of plywood backer I can put in once i get that down, but would you know if it can be one long piece or just separate pieces by each bracket.? I would like to have the material ready while it is coming apart.

Thanks again.

You will need to separate pieces, one piece should cover the center bracket and one end bracket. The other piece will cover the other end bracket. A strip of plywood 1/2"X 4" wide should be good. I had the same issue in our 3901WB and that is how they fixed it. It is tricky to get those pieces of wood up there, but it can be done.
