We decided on the hardwood look.

It's actually a vinyl product so weight, wear and water shouldn't be an issue. 50 year residential warranty. Should outlast our Redwood.

We are also changing out the steps to real h/w steps with the top one having storage under it for shoes.

You haven't been out of the loop, actually carpet and our coach go way back. When we ordered the coach back in Jan'14 we specifically said no carpet. Today all vinyl is an option, but back then it was more like a concept. When we went up to the factory to see our coach being built we were nicknamed by the crew "the all vinyl couple". You can ask Jim as he was the one that gave us the tour.

Anyway, when the coach was delivered there was still carpet on the slides, the raised area in the front and on the stairs. Looked like a pretty big deal to fix it so accepted it and figured we would deal with it later.

Our plan moving forward is actually to spend 15 of the next 19 months in our coach so since we have some time now we figured best get it done.

We also wanted to upgrade our couches. Spent a lot of time around the rally looking for replacements. The challenge is in our 38FL the couches sit on a rise. One is 6", the other 4". That makes it very hard to find replacements. We spent a ton of time at Lambright Comfort Chairs as we really liked one of their couches, but in the end it ended up they couldn't make them work.

Luckily for me the good people at Nashville Coach who are doing the work for us have worked with a company Villa International who make RV furniture. Gave them all the measurements and they are able to do it no problem. In fact we'll have the only Redwood FL coach on the planet that I know of that has a sleeper couch in it! Here's something like what it will look like.

I think it should be amazing when it's all done. You saw it here first! I'll post pictures when it's done.

Very Nice!!!
The king of modifications!!!!!!
I have always thought that in the FL front couch should be a pull out so we may be looking at this a bit closer soon. Post the after pictures. Definitely like the stair storage idea as we had it in our previous MH which was used for dog stuff so this may also happen this winter in the RW!

Ken
Now your making us jealous! We just got new Euro chairs for our 36 FL. I need to extend our slide platform about 6 inches. Your pictures help to see what I need to do. Whisked I had your extra carpet.

If the carpet is still available it's yours for the price of shipping. PM me if you are interested.

I see your plastic wire looms that carry there slide wiring appear broken like mine were on delivery of our 38FL
I repaired / relocated them and have not had any issue with the looms or wiring dragging on the floor since.

You know I need to check on that, thanks. We are installing some power drops on the opposing slide for the computer desk so they may have been looking around how it could be done.

I'll have a closer look next week after the holiday.

Thanks
