My DW has a mishap, and we now have to replace the carpet on one of the steps going upstairs on our RL...

I was able to get a piece from Redwood, via my dealer for cheap ($30.00). When I get home from vacation, I will replace it. Does anyone know how the carpet is attached o the steps?? Is it just stapled, or glued and stapeled?

I am not looking to tear it up till I get home and have the replacement ready, just getting my info ..

Thx - Joe

Joe
When I removed all the carpet in mine it was just held by a gazillion staples

You could glue the new stuff down but it would be hard to remove the next time the red wine hits it

Joe,
Shane is correct and just a lot of staples. Our unit did not even have the cherry under it just chipboard with the cherry ends showing. Staples are the best way and just roll the side edges over and your done.
