How come in our Redwood the color/material of the ceiling in the slides are the same as the walls and not the ceiling.
Do all Redwoods have the ceiling of the slide looking like the walls?
Here's a before picture.
And an after a coat of primer and two coats of paint to match the ceiling.

WOW never noticed but does make the room seem bigger and brighter. Nice job.
Ken, I am pretty sure the reason is that the ceiling panels are textured and use large strips for trim at the joints. The slide out ceilings on most brands use the decor color on the walls for the ceiling so they can run the sticky seam tape at the joints. If there is a ceiling panel color of seam tape, it wouldn't lay very flat and would likely fall off quickly on the ceiling panels. Like what you did though. Bet it brightens the interior of your unit.

Interesting thought. In the 3 slides we painted none of them had seam tape, but good point for larger/longer slides.
Yes it does brighten things up.
