Question i just received my 2017 39MB and the delivery driver had to weg a piece of cardboard to keep the desk from sliding out and then a bungee cord is their a lock that's hidden ?

If I remember correctly the latch is in the center of the drawer at the back. Some people have removed the drawer to access it and some found it easier to remove the fireplace

On our 2013 36FL the catch is on the rear of the desk. It requires a significant pull to open. If it every fails I will install sufficient flat magnets across the front instead of removing the drawer and trying to replace the catch.

Our 2017 MB is the same as previously stated. There are 2 plastic latches in the very back, easiest way to see or adjust them is to remove the fireplace.
