Our toilet has been backing up a lot recently had to use a plunger to clear the obstructions.  We use RV safe toilet paper and nothing else beside waste goes down.  I dumped the tank, flushed the lines, then when filling the black tank with 5 gallons (1 full bowl x 5) on the fourth flush I got the dreaded burp.  I was confused since I just dumped and flushed.  So I grabbed my camera scope with a pex line to investigate...  I found the clog and used a drain snake to break it up.  What I noticed is there is some type of screen at what I believe is the entrance to the black tank.  I counted six symmetrical holes along the perimeter which appeared to stop the TP from fully going down. I meant to take a photo of the screen, but forgot...

Has anyone heard of this?

As far as I know, there should be nothing between the toilet and the holding tank but PVC piping. I have heard instances where the "plug" of material that was drilled into the tank wasn't removed and discarded and caused issues. I'd be interested in seeing the pics if available.

I've snaked my upstairs toilet to the tank and there are zero obstructions. I have also heard of the drilled out dusk from the floor or black tank not being properly removed!  If you're getting a burp for air it is possible the air vents to the roof is blocked... critters have built nests in the vents before.
